Black Lotus is the new project from Tehran-born, London-raised producer Amir Amor, co-founder of Rudimental. A BRIT and MOBO winner with five UK No.1s, billions of streams and a Mercury Prize nomination, Amir has worked with artists including Nile Rodgers, Kaiser Chiefs, Chris Martin, George Clinton, Bobby Womack and Donald Fagen. After years producing for others and developing talent through his own label, Amir is now stepping into full creative freedom as Black Lotus. Genre-fluid and rooted in the dancefloor, the project blends house, garage, funk and left-field electronica into atmospheric, richly textured productions. First appearing on two tracks from Chris Lake’s Chemistry on Black Book Records, Black Lotus now arrives with his debut EP, HYPNOTIC. The project combines a live show featuring real instruments with DJ sets, while creating a collective platform for emerging vocal talent.
