“I am creating a place for people to forget their troubles for a while. It is important in the world we are living in today.” – David Morales
Born in 1986 in a Parisian suburb, Jeremy is a passionate record collector and music lover whose collection and knowledge of house, disco, soul, and funk surpasses his years of collecting it. First inspired by listening to Radio Nova in Paris, he spent his formative teenage years in record shops with a sole idea in mind: unearthing hidden house music treasures, leaving no stone unturned. Then, later on applying the same process with other musical styles such as jazz, soul, and funk…
Jeremy started “My Love Is Underground” in 2010, a vinyl-only label dedicated to his first love: the authentic New York/New Jersey house sound. His mission was to bring these warm vibes back and showcase the spirit of this golden era in house.
His honesty and dedication towards music has rocketed him to the forefront of international DJing, with the now extremely rare feature of being a DJ only and not a Producer/DJ. His landmark debut compilation in 2014, the stunning “My Love Is Underground” 3xLP, features Jeremy’s hand picked selection of rare & out of press house jams. A defining moment in his burgeoning career, it was ranked by Resident Advisor #1 best compilation of the year, winning praise from DJ’s and collectors alike for the depth and raw quality of the selection.
2016’s ‘Jeremy Underground Presents Beauty’, released on Spacetalk, was another career milestone. The largely downtempo mix displayed a broader love of music, received rave reviews from the likes of Resident Advisor, Gilles Peterson, and beyond, and confirmed him once again as one of the world’s finest music curators.
Jeremy's live sets share similar class and passion, one look at either of his Boiler Room performances shows an exceptional ability and connection with the dance floor, and his now classic b2b set with Motor City Drum Ensemble from Robert Johnson (recorded by RA for their podcast) is considered a “DJing master class” (RA). This year he was reunited with his friend and inspiration, Kerri Chandler, for a limited series of back-to-back sets under the Underground Kaoz banner, with shows so far for Awakenings, Nuits Sonores and Lovebox, and this month’s Mint Festival in Leeds.
In June, Jeremy took over Phonox for a weekly residency at the South London institution. He invited a string of his own favourite DJs to join him across the four Friday night shows – including Inner Sense (My Love Is Underground); DJ Dirty Hans; The Mighty Zaf, andRoger Thornhill. This year’s edition of Sonar saw Jeremy join MCDE for a special closing set on the Resident Advisor stage, with their set streamed live and later archived as one of RA’s key streams of this year. Jeremy also gave a candid interview to RA for their Exchange feature, opening up about his life and career so far: https://www.residentadvisor.net/podcast-episode.aspx?exchange=414

No one unites a club like Kerri Chandler. No one’s kick kicks harder. No one’s keys carry more emotion. No crowd reacts with more energy than when the New Jersey great is behind the decks. His life-long obsession with sound makes him famously meticulous about the setups of the clubs he plays, and that always results in electrifying sets of soulful, authentic, positive house music.
Chandler has unquestionably helped shape the house landscape, not only from the booth and the studio, but also as an A&R. His Kaoz Theory label has worked with contemporary talents like Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers, while his influential MadHouse Records has just celebrated 25 years of agenda setting releases with a storytelling anniversary album. Proving he is at the vanguard of the scene are his critically acclaimed back-to-back sets with French protégé Jeremy Underground as Underground Kaoz at flagship festivals. His residency at the world famous DC10 and an ever full DJ diary that takes him on endless trips around the world are also testament to his on going vitality as an artist.
Next to various awards and recognitions for his outstanding contribution to house music in recent years, Kerri has been on the cover of Mixmag, DJ Mag (UK and USA), and featured on Resident Advisor’s respected The Hour podcast series. In 2017, he served up a standout entry into the hallowed DJ-kicks mix series with a seamless selection featuring his own keys over an autobiographical and hugely personal mix that was like spending an afternoon in his living room with the man himself.
Of course, Chandler came up in a different era, when no one cared about genres and all that mattered was bringing people together. His hometown was a cultural melting pot with different scenes round every corner, from funk to soul, jazz to hip hop. Those essential early learnings have stayed with him and mean he remains one of house music’s must see acts. He is someone who can join the dots and take you on a true musical adventure. He never fails to draw unreserved reactions from the dance floors he plays to, and always with a beaming smile of his own.
As a producer, he is just as vital and unmatched, having started out as an impossibly young man working in studios. From his 1990 debut right up the present day, his peerless discography reads like an evolution of deep, soulful house music. Rather than mechanical grooves, he lays down spiritual rhythms that permeate every part of your body. He combines powerful, driving drums with heart swelling hooks to devastating effect.
He is affectionately known as the ‘Stevie Wonder of house music,’ and for good, reason: over the years, he has laid down countless timeless tracks and albums that exude a rich musicality, brim with character and reach way outside the confines of the dance floor for their inspiration. His definitive cuts on labels like Atlantic, King Street Sounds, Nervous and his own Madhouse have spawned legions of copycats and generation after generation of new fans. Kerri Chandler, then, has been a house legend for many years, but what sets him apart is his unique ability to blend tradition with innovation in fascinating new ways.
“Sitting the drums in the bass is an art-form,” says Colin McBean. If that is the case, he is the Michelangelo of dance music—an old master both literally and figuratively. During his long career he’s perfected the art of reducing dance music to its core elements and is still making an immediate impact. “The drums and the bass and a good top line are the things that turn me on in a track, so when you hear a Mr. G tune, the speakers are really working.”
A leader in global dance music, Louie Vega has painted an award-winning career from a palette mixed with everything from house, salsa and afro-beat, to jazz, hip hop, gospel and soul.
What happens when a house-music icon takes a small, talented bunch of musicians and mixes it with a savory blend of jazz, funk, dance, and soul music? You get a hearty serving of Louie Vega & The Elements of Life.

"I wanted to produce and perform music inspired by groups and artists like War, Cymande, Johnny Hammond, and Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters, but with the Vega Family Elements of Life twist and style. I created Elements of Life with my studio musicians and rhythm section of Elements of Life and Nuyorican Soul. I want to take this band and perform in festivals and venues like The Blue Note, Jazz Café, Ronnie Scots, and BB Kings. Louie Vega & The Elements of Life. will bring you future grooves with a tinge of the musical landscape from our rich past, and yes, there will be experimentation—get ready for it. You never know just who will show up to play in the finale!”

Muallem is no new name in the Music Circus. Having traveled extensively, lived in New York, London, Tel Aviv and Munich, produced for over 20 years and worked as a DJ for even longer, Muallem’s passion, musical expertise and understanding of the nightlife were responsible for propelling Bob Beaman, the club where he was in charge of the creative direction for over half a decade, to a top spot on the list of Europe’s best clubs. After having left his former residency, he has recently been popping up more and more as one of the minds behind the brand new BLITZ Dance Music Club that opened doors in Munich in Spring 2017. They say that we are shaped by what we love, and that life prepares us for what is to come – This seems to have proven true in the case of Muallem. This love is where he took his motivation for creating another mothership, solely built in order to dance together. He has put his years of experience and love for music towards fostering a welcoming musical community in his hometown of Munich. If you ask David for the recipe of a club’s success, his simple answer is: "Passion", which is also the main ingredient for his DJ Sets. Muallem’s vision for clubs and his passion for music have infected Munich with a newfound love for dance music culture. His sets are sure to keep you sweaty and moving all night. "I love it, when I can play all night; to be able to tell a story from the first beat to the last record of the night is an amazing thing. You can really create a feeling of unity. An ideal night is when people are just letting their hair down, letting themselves go and getting lost in the music - and me with them". Muallem surely gets there, well balancing the elements of a dance floor: from deep to obscure, pumping to soulful, subtle to obvious, classic to avant-garde. Muallem paints the night an array of colors, from the softest tones to the brightest neon. Never too shy to be catchy, but never crossing into cheesy or ironic territory, you will get a pure passion and love for music that is infectious on the dance floor. It is these expertly mixed sets from an experienced soul that make you forget about having to, at one point, wake up and return to reality. Music you want to spend the night with.
